The Harbin Ice Festival is held in the Chinese city of Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province, near the Russian border. It takes place from January 5th until the end of February, and offers international snow sculpture art expo, ice lantern art fair, winter swimming watching, ice hotels, dog sledging or safari-style Siberian tigers. Here are my photographic impressions of the festival.
…Let me tell you about this place,
-30º C would make my heart stop and freeze,
But couldn’t miss this ice parade,
although I’m not a winter comrade.
Like you’re in a Disney tale,
your colour change from brown to pale….”
