Issue #4 of diariesof is OUT NOW! diariesof Cape Verde was officially launched in Luxembourg this June. We had the pleasure to share the moment with more than 150 people who came to the Rotondes to listen to the typical Cape Verdean Morna sung by Rodrigues Casimiro Lopes and to see the photographic exhibition that diariesof prepared especially for the occasion. Those who came have also had the chance to taste some Cape Verdean specialties…

What will you find in this issue?

Cape Verde is 10 destinations in one single country. diariesof hiked to the top of the active volcano in the island of Fogo; In the Island of Sal we visited the salt lakes and we got to practice some wind sports on Sal’s turquoise blue sea waters. Our team cross landed the Island of Santo Antão in order to dive into its green lavish mountains. In Boavista, the sand desert lead us to marvellous beaches. We were lucky to be stranded in Brava and spent there more time than we had foreseen. We visited the remote community of the Rabelados in Santiago and photographed the beautiful salt workers in Maio. We were introduced to the Morna in São Vicente and were amazed with Morabeza, Cape Verdeans typical hospitality…

We would like to leave our special thanks to diariesof Cape Verde contributors: Paulino Dias, Tiago Salazar, Gabriele Rumbolo, Rui Daniel Silva, Kathrin Maurer, Silvan Baeurle and João Leitão.
